That's my old daily driver.

I did some good trips in that car (Road trips!).

Greg Ward and I bunged his spare 1916 Pobjoy Steroid engine in it for the VW Nationals drags at Oran Park. We also took it out to Eastern Creek for a bit of fun. See the YouTube link.

It was built in Canberra in the late 1980s or early 1990s. It was a Porsche metalic brown with black empi 8 spoke wheels. It sits on an IRS chassis too.

I first laid eyes on it in about 1993 when it was on display in front of parliment house during the Veedub Club Canberra's "Show & Climb" event. I puchased it about 6 or 7 years later from a lady in Neutral Bay, Sydney for about $4,500.

I clocked up heaps of kms in it commuting between Avalon and North Sydney.

There's nothing like having an oval daily driver to hold up your oval restoration. I warned Elvis of this fact when I saw his black resto when I sold he car to him.

The oval is now a stunt double of his resto which was very impressive when I saw it ages ago.

Cool! CT

Yeh, his had at least 3 restos going on since i've known him, but never seems to finish.
