It’s a long story so here is the brief:
Saw it advertised at a farm auction in the local rag, emailed the auctioneer, he rang back, knew nothing rang up the vendor, and she had had it since
it was either new or the late 60’s and in 1983 her husband (Now dec) bought her another car and this one was left in the barn on the farm.
Anyway she is moving now and it went up for auction and after some fierce bidding I won it for a song.
Traveled over 600km today just to pick him up and get him to the property. He is complete apart from radio and battery. Major rust is the battery
sized hole where the battery should be and LHS pillar. Will be shedded after a throughly clean up and ill see if he will start after 24 years.
A resto is on the cards eventually.... or maybe repair rust and keep him ratty, whatever the eventual outcome, Wilson will only improve from here.
Wish me luck!!! More pics when I get back Tuesday.
Cheers Will

Hi Will,
I actually have a question about the trailer.
I'm actuallly looking to either buy or build one to suit a bug.
(Don't want one of those huge things that hire companies use.)
Is that your trailer?
If so did you build it? or what brand is it?
Nice car by the way. early 60's bugs are great!
Thanks
Carl
G'day Carl,
The trailer is a hire one, its just down the road from me and i get it for about $15 for
a day. Really good rates. Anyway a mate got one built, buzz him a PM.
His name is Volma1 on AVD and he got his built or bought it from QLD and it fits a bug
with ease. Anyway buzz him a PM and he will give you the lowdown on it, it was built to be
towed behind a Bus and hold an Immac CB.
Cheers and good luck, Will.
And beleive it or not, i have had Ford Falcons, Kombi's and even had 2.4Tonne Cricket pitch rollers on that trailer. But it is a little heavy, thank god for the Hilux!!
Cool,. thanks for that.
Notn a problem mate
