What do you think ,full resto or custom?
Maybe the rat look.

BUGBOY - May 12th, 2003 at 05:33 PM

Have decided to turn it into a daily car.
so a bit of work ahead.

BUGBOY - May 12th, 2003 at 05:48 PM

Well as you can see the things underway.
Put a bit of primer on the bare metal and get ready for a touch up.
Hows she look so far?
Found some flared guards with holden lights in them which I might fit as they should look cool.

KruizinKombi - May 12th, 2003 at 05:54 PM

Nice one Nathan! Is this the same bug I saw when I was last at your place? If so, it's come a long way! :thumb Those Holden lights wouldn't happen to be from a Torana would they? :o

BUGBOY - May 12th, 2003 at 06:00 PM

Put in a late model box to help give her longer leg!
Col , gave up on the guards the torana lights are to hard to find.

silver - May 12th, 2003 at 06:02 PM

No! please don't Toranafy that nice little Oval. it cant look any better than with a standard body. those torana things will look good at the dump

BUGBOY - May 12th, 2003 at 06:07 PM

This looks a lot better.
Would never concider it Col anyway!;)

KruizinKombi - May 12th, 2003 at 06:12 PM

I was quite sure that you wouldn't, but I knew somebody would bite!! :D (Hey silver....:P:P:P)

BUGBOY - May 18th, 2003 at 04:58 PM

Well today I put on some new wheels and think its near slam time.

BUGBOY - May 18th, 2003 at 05:02 PM

Well what a ball this was!
Harder to do than late models but well ones in and now just have to do the other side.:(
Took the best part of half a day.

BUGBOY - May 18th, 2003 at 05:07 PM

Well here`s from the outside , still have to attach the hinge to the body.
Had a lot of help from my mate Theo on this one.

BUGBOY - May 18th, 2003 at 05:09 PM

just thought I`d put a picture of him hard at work.Thank god for the seat covers.:o

BenettonVW - May 18th, 2003 at 06:37 PM

Looking sweet mate.. coming along well.. Be done by Hanging Rock?

BUGBOY - May 18th, 2003 at 06:44 PM

It could be done in time.
But still driving my 76 around and will take that with a price tag on it.
Still have to lower the oval yet.
Have nearly finished my front beam , only welding it all together now.Funny thing is I lost a few inches out of the middle?
Will put it together anyway.;)
Will post some pictures of that soon.

Grey 57 - May 18th, 2003 at 06:44 PM

Glad to see you are in practise with the popouts Bug Boy. Mine are next. :thumb:D
Looking good, great colour & nice wheels too.
See ya at Hanging Rock

BUGBOY - May 18th, 2003 at 06:50 PM

Its a cool colour. Its grown on me.
Always liked black but I think I like the fact that most of the car is still in original paint.
Just think mate we can cruise together in the grey 57`s. :thumb

Bizarre - May 18th, 2003 at 08:33 PM

Inch Pincherb - Inch Pincher

Inch Pincher - Inch Pincher

Bug Boy
i admit - i am german looker through and through but that is looking sweet!!

Those BRMs just suit it down to the wheel bearings!!

What motor??

(and dont say a well built 1200!! )

BUGBOY - May 18th, 2003 at 08:46 PM

Working on a 1968cc stroker.
but the 1300 in it at the moment will do.:sandrine

BUGBOY - May 18th, 2003 at 08:56 PM

Still working on the new tinware to fit this fuel sucker in.
Putting a long motor into a short hole doesn`t leave much room.:o

humpty - May 19th, 2003 at 03:07 PM

I love'em like this...Always have, always will.
I do reget painting my car now! Never again!
You say you lost some track in the front some how!!!!!! I'd like to see how that happened!
Shame your strokers together already...I have some 94B's that would've fixed your problem nicely!

Keep it up!

kustomkool - May 19th, 2003 at 04:35 PM

VVVVVVEEEEEERRRRRYYYYYY kool.Just luv it.A Oildripper sticker would look real kool.about the Inch pincher if you decide to do it.i feel sorry for the poor bugger that has to paint it up.Very long pinning takes a very steady hand but my Dagger brushes and airbrush would luv to give it a go.a job well done.Keep us posted. :sandrine

Golde60 - May 19th, 2003 at 05:32 PM

i take it from the comment that you have narrowed the beam?

i d love to have a chat about this. i guess i ll have to wait til hanging rock

did you do it all yourself? big job? difficult?
i have heard that you have to get the leaves drilled at an engineering shop cos its high tensile steel...
(sorry about the terminology but u know what i mean:))

Golde60 - May 19th, 2003 at 05:33 PM

the wheels look shit hot.

perfect for an understated factory coloured car.

thats gonna be the sleeper from hell. glad it will be driven daily

shame to waste it hey!
