A friend of mine bought a 1970 Kombi and tried to go to Carnarvon for work and blew a plug out of the head. Tried to repair it at the scene with no success.

I had seen the bus and thought it pretty reasonable, so gave him a little cash, took a helicoil the 900km north and fitted it on the side of the road. Turned the bus around and came back to Perth.

I'd seen it before I left and was quite impressed. It has a 40 DCNF Webber, extractors (empis), 009 and i hear it's an "1800".

It seems all the plugs were the wrong size and have stripped the thread so I'll have to pick up some new heads but I'm happy with it.
