ok so i sussed out underneath and its been cut though the chassis rails "wow" what a great job! with nice shaped strengthing plates etc ,near the
middle of the sliding door and in the door pillar and i guess at the top of the windscreen where over time the rust has started "apears to have been

What do you think your original colour was?
its that sky blue colour ive looked in the hardest to get areas and see sky "oooh thats the rust holes ha" nah yeah light blu
You sure?
Look at the front bulkhead (inside).. Is that yellow/orange under the sky blue?
Also, as these were either special purpose or commercial, I would have thought the colour would have been special purpose (eg: PMG red or RAAF Yellow)
or the commercial base coat which was always white..
Sorry.. Just realised its a later front clip
no worries yeah has a 74 front olive and definately sky blue back under the green/bog/electric blue/ primer and some metallic bluein engine bay . then and even sky blue
hope your good at rust repairs
since it's got the wrong year front on it,dont' know if they're still around, but there was a guy in the uk makeing kits to put a splitty front on a
bay
have you considered this
yes indeed but the size is wider hmm that kit sounds intresting but i do like a low light
keep it lowlight. much classier.
yeah for sure pete i will
progress pics
dude that makes me feel ill.
guess I'm use to fibreglass buggies way too much.
ha ha, yes it does scare me sometimes ,but when u see that is the worst and the rest is all good the floor all round is solid and fish oiled . nothing a grinder and new replacment bits and a magic welding job wont fix
awaitng the rear lamps but i fitted the reverse lamps Hella made in germany og vw accessories, seen mostly seen on the US models
heres a pic of them
