Hi
I like your Forum!!!! it is cool to see other VW forums around the world!! here are two bugs I have in So. Cal. the red 69 is a pan off that I did 4
years ago now I am building a new EFI turbo for it, should be finished late 09
The Black Jager. Bug, is a 63 chop top we have been trying to dial it in all of 08 we will be testing tell March then the racing season starts !!!!
2 Very cool cars, welcome. Any specs on either two cars. Turbo setups aren't as common here as USA and would love to know what your running.
T54
it is a 2276cc type 1 CB case with a T4/T3 high bread Gates turbo with custom fin configuration 650 carburetor with big alcohol jets( it needs a lot of gas) we use a 2 step boost control from Turbosmart and the wastegate is also Turbosmart, Geers cylinders will hold up to 50 lbs of boost the highest boost I have run to date is 18lbs it ran 10:33 at 133mph, we have been having clutch issues???? burning them up if I go higher on the boost?? I just went with a two disk clutch setup and I will test it out after the new year I will update you how it goes?? should be in the 9's easily, and I will start a thread on the build of the EFI turbo for the street car engine
I think I have both your cars offspring
SWEET! nice cars....

Thanks
Now all i need is an awesome powerplant like yours
That red 69 is one of the cleanest rides I've seen
living in So. Cal I shaved away the windshield wipers it never rains??? and used early bus rubber for the windows, it is thinner than the "Cal Look" rubber and no grove for the chrome trim I also changed the dash to an early 60's dash.........
Very nice cars! I really like the thinner window rubbers, did you get these custom made to size?
I like your big Brembos on the front and Rear!
Nice rides,
very interested in the street turbo / efi build up
Noddy
The rubber is a stock size of an early bus; I took the old rubber to Wolfsburg West and they found the rubber to fit, just measure your rubber and
email them and they will be happy to help you!!!
The brakes are Monza RX7 4 piston with some small mods they work well
