All i can say is im well chuffed my car was in the volksworld show as its all my own work alongside the best cars
Plus the paint which is alkyd enamel and sprayed by me in a dusty garage with a converted hover motor held its own and cost 45 pounds topcoat
To everyone, if I can do it, so can you!
Thank you Volksworld, you made my year
going into the show
car gets moved into position on skate boards cool!
in position next to its new oval buddy
happy mat
now on the way home i stopped off in hounslow on a very special mission.
the whole reason i did the car was that it was a homage to my dads 67 he bought new, now the only good picture i had of the car was outside my
grandparents old house in hounslow, I hadd'nt been there in 15 years and the picture was 42 years old
so.... 42 years on i took the same picture with my car, both being 67 black 1500 delux, red interior and us spec bumpers
1967 Life was simple then, not too many cars on the road, my dads was a special order black 67 with us bumpers and red interior only 2 were in the
country at the time
my 67 black red interior in 2009...42 years later same place
all from this
if you dream a crazy idea up and stick at it you can do anything
Holy shit geezer, thats alot of work you put into that well done.
Damo.
Very cool pics, well done on the whole job, it takes dedication, especially to do it all yourself.
That looks awesome mate... That is exactly what a real restoration project is all about... Having a dream, an imagination and the determination...
Anybody can send their VW out to be restored by proffessionals you just have to be prepared to spend the $$$ ohhh and then collect the trophies.
However the real satisfaction comes from knowing you did the hard work yourself!
A real credit to you
Cheers
Greg
