Here is a quick introduction post of my 1973 German made VW Beetle 1300. I bought it late last year from a guy in Sydney and drove it down to country Victoria, where I live. The car is already slightly modifyed with a late model twin port 1600 engine, stainless steel dimensioned extractor sports exhaust system, full custom interior and wide rims on the rear.

There are a number of new parts and mods I'm installing at the moment. These include:

Reconditioned twin Weber 31 ICT carburettors with Scat linkage and Porsche 356 Super Scat manifolds, Empi roller type accelerator pedal (old one kept falling back and sticking - dangerous!!), new oil sump drain plug/bolt (original was worn and damaged), Empi quick shift kit (makes gear stick travel shorter and more precise), high precision chrome alumminium crankshaft pulley with timming marks, Pertronix electronic ignition kit, new front bumper from a 1975-76 Beetle (which has the indicators on it), some bog and paint to remove the original indicators/blinkers from the top of the front guards, 8mm high performance spark plug cables, Pertronix chrome 40,000 volts Flamethrower coil, pair of front 2 1/2 inch drop spindles, two cone air filters to suit my twin Weber ICT carburettors, PLUS MORE!! Keep checking this topic and my blog http://br-look.blogspot.com for updates!!
