Just thought i'd post some pics of my 1966 Sea Blue Beetle that has just under gone a slight restoration.
I bought her in 2001 for $800 and she looked like this:
Then slowly slowly i started modding her by adding things like a 2110, slamming her, and whitewalls.
Which made her look like this for the next 8 years:
But then slowly slowly the rust started to invade the A pillars, passenger door, and bonnet. After a trips back from LA armed with a TMI interior kit
i decided the car to get a full respray along with the interior kit being installed.
Due to budget constraints i couldnt go all out on the resto but i plan to do a off the floor pan resto in 15 years when my son is old enough to
drive.
Adam from Raw Autowerks did the work and i am over the moon:
Here are some progress pics:
Here are some pics 2 days before i picked her up:
Here are some pics of when i picked her up:
Man i am so happy and amazed at the paint. Its like a mirror finish its amazing.
I feel like Shazza was on Pimp My Ride minus Xzibit i am soo happy will get some better pics in the next couple of days
Big thanks to Mike and Adam at:
for making this possible after 8 years of ownership and putting up with a dodgy interior and dodgy paint job my car is now pretty complete and i am
soo happy!
i finally have the beetle i have been dreaming about all these years!
Nice work....looks great now!

Nice one Costa. Nice to see Shazza getting that TLC your were hunting for. Those Hoosiers weren't yours in the background then?
Great car mate, tastefully finished right the way through. Enjoy those looks on the road, she'll be turning heads everywhere.
Thanks guys!
I plan to keep this car for at least another 15 years and then give to my son when his old enough to drive.
I am soo excited!
