I can, I won't get any work done on the beetle when I'm working in Sydney and living in Canberra Luckily it's only for 12 months

Yeah, many many years ago. Mine is a full custom resto, not a ratter like his was. But VWFOOL definitely gave me some inspiration to do something
similar. Very cool ride from memory.

Pete,
Love ya work and I'm sure you can get a shore leave pass every now and then, lol. You must have been collecting parts for a while now and are
finally getting to put her all together. Dont worry about the time frame, I thought mine would be back on the road in 6 months - then plans changed,
more modified and here I am over 2 years latter and still not close.
Just had a thought, if you are working in Sydney for 12 months you can always come to my place and keep your hand in, working on my VW You might even get a home cooked meal. Not me, the missus
