Something else in our shed
mczaf666 - February 12th, 2010 at 06:50 AM

Thought I would post a few pics of our weekend weapon.

Hope its relevant here.

Originally from Pasadena in CA. Still lhd...2.4 injected rather than the standard 2.2 carb engine.

Some of you may have seen it at the DOVW @ Cranbourne.

Just had complete engine rebuild etc, 5 speed box, period recaros, steering wheel.

Lovem when they leave the original body work alone

The "update" kits look wrong

This is beautiful

Hmmm. Looks like a swb so maybe a '68.??? They had 2.0 litre I believe. My favourite Porsche engine (except the T) 6800 red line and crisp as.

Beautiful.

You are correct Matt.

1968 911s swb.

And you are correct again, this thing loves to rev and is strong all the way to redline. Handles like a dream. Great fun.

Anytime your in Vic call in for a drive.

Watch it Hamish, I'll take you up on that.
I converted a lhd '69 Targa, and drove it for a few years, absolutely wonderful cars.
I also stuffed a 2.2 T motor in my bay dual cab for a while. It had Porsche factory headers and super traps.:spin:

What sort of injection does it have on it? I've driven a 2.4s with the mechanical injection, amazing little car, a bit thirsty though!

Seriously come down for a drive next time your in Vic....No dramas what soever.

Superowen it is mechanical injection....your right a bit thirsty especially when driven hard. Still worth it though as we only get it out once or twice a week.
