nice!........always nice to keep things at the same level, ie drive line, brakes, interior, paint..sometimes certain aspects get left behind as we
persue others, so congrats on the update!
..seats look the goods
colonel mustard - February 16th, 2010 at 07:18 PM
You did whattttttttttttttttttttttttttt.......
Looks awesome, but I hate to say, looks similar to ricola's color.
plans for a different style of cage?
DaveCarter - February 16th, 2010 at 07:21 PM
looks very nice Jak. I like the new colour. Plus now you can re embarrass all the ricers in "that grey bug that sounded heaps like the purple one"
silver - February 16th, 2010 at 07:50 PM
nice car nice colour,
much better than purple
Craig S - February 16th, 2010 at 08:08 PM
Nice work, looks the goods. It just makes me more envious than I
already was!
cnfabo - February 16th, 2010 at 08:16 PM
yep, the grey looks better i think...
Joel - February 16th, 2010 at 08:19 PM
that VW1500 badge aint fooling anyone, that genuine vw parts sticker might though
that new colour works perfectly with the cars theme
you're bug has got the perfect stance too
JVLRacing - February 16th, 2010 at 08:51 PM
deffently added a spark of apperance......its about time u give the car a birthday pressy
STIDUB - February 16th, 2010 at 09:25 PM
nice, though i think id have to see it again in person to get a better idea of it, looks different from a few angles, if i had to pick though, make
the wheels shinier or the bumpers etc darker, the rear looks out of place in that pic cos its the only shiny thing there.... but the front suits
perfectly, now im torn, looking good though!
on a slightly unrelated note though, what size is that hole in your guard, i think i asked previously but cant remember
the important question is... is it now too pretty to race in may?
Flintstones - February 16th, 2010 at 09:45 PM
Looks much better in the grey Jak.
And the seats look the part as well.
Do me a favour though, either paint the rear calipers red, or paint the fronts black
Cheers
D
p.s. the house is coming along now
STIDUB - February 17th, 2010 at 05:36 AM
i will be, but the car... im doubtful but trying to get it sorted, not going to make it in time for bug-in but nats would be nice
Bizarre - February 17th, 2010 at 06:40 AM
Great colour!
Can you tell me what model the seats are??
LoganVWBogan - February 17th, 2010 at 08:51 AM
I reckon you need some carbon fiber headlight trims and bumpers, other than that, you've made a great car that my 1302S idolizes even better.
-Staggers.
reub - February 17th, 2010 at 10:52 AM
Almost matches the r/c car..
Looks good dude. Which I used my vwrx as much as you do yours...
squizy - February 17th, 2010 at 12:21 PM
Nice one Jak. A change is as good as a holiday, although I thought you would have painted it Subi Blue.

Hi Jak,
How about we do an oval conversion?
Don't worry. I'll come up to your place with some sandpaper. We'll rub it back to purple again.
No wait start again. I'll give you $3,000 for it.
; ) CT
JVLRacing - February 22nd, 2010 at 08:07 AM

CT, U can have the car for $1300 without the conversion, or $3800 with the conversion, thats what it owes me.
if it wasn't a Superbug it would be worth more.

Craig Torrens - February 24th, 2010 at 08:58 PM
looks great Jak
now Christian will have to change his color on the oval !!
GTMac - February 25th, 2010 at 12:00 PM
Gday Jak,looks great. Must admit never been a fan of Gunmetal Grey, probably because it was the preferred colour of Holden restos in the late 80s
early 90s, but it suits your Bug brilliantly.

having owned a gun metal grey car a few years back best advice i can give is on the highway put your lights on

Hi
I've nearly pulled out in front of so many darker grey or silver cars its not funny, they blend into the road, but them I'm as blind as bat.

Too right, I spend a lot of time on the road and I have promised myself I will never own a grey or light blue car, just too damned hard to see.

I've told my son about your car john & showed him all the pics, he's almost 10 years old.
He's hoping to see it run on a track in his lifetime.
So am I actually!

What has been around longer, the build up of his racecar or the "for sale" advertisement of his R32 Golf ?
Love the seats too Jak.
