tell me what is more popular RHD or LHD and what you prefer and why? does the opposite drive(ie LHD in a RHD country) have a ....ohhh and ahhh factor
as it does in the states?
as said, i live in the States and its LHD over here... but a RHD car GRABS attention and questions of how? more than why..... and for some reason are
worth a butt load more. so what you think?
LHD is more popular simply because the are more LHD countrys.
personally i have no preferance having driven L&RHD in both L&RHD countries. common sense required tho!
Me personally, a left hand drive would turn me off here in Australia. I often look overseas for right hand drive cars, just for interests sakes if I was to ever import anything.
There are many more L/H drive cars produced in the world compared to R/H drive. Therefore R/H cars are rarer hence the wow factor in the USA. For us,
most of the L/H drive cars imported into Oz in the twentith century were converted to R/H drive.
L/H drive cars are a dime a dozen in the northern hemisphere and not that hard to obtain. Compared the motor vehicle production figures between the
USA an OZ, and we would have produced less than one tenth of the vehicles produced in the USA.
For example, 1967 less then 200 factory metal sunroof beetles were produced. Now 40 odd years later, how many survive?
Most Australians under value their vw's, that's why so many have gone overseas, and some dimwits get upset about this fact, but instead of putting
their money where there mouths are, they cry about it.
We have been manufacturing and exporting brand new Pontiac GTO's, Mitsubishi Diamanties etc and I am more then willing to send secondhand cars to
overseas buyers, because it's called free trade.
Let me know what you want, because 60's beetles are getting hard to find in good condition.
