not much 72" left in that  early everything, any close up pics of the volkswagen... umm vent?

DOESN'T LOOK LIKE A 72 APART FROM THE LARGE GLASS..

even a w deck lid... early fenders, wings... front & rear..

No vents below the rear window..??

You will need a lot MORE ventilation in Australia...

Nice Car though...

I know about the heat issue in Oz, will be putting the grill back under the rear window, the last owner fitted the "VOLKSWAGEN" there for some crazy reason, I have stand offs for the summer here, but have my eye on an early cabriolet vented deck lid  I have a filtered forced air system under the car, which feeds air into the fan shroud, an external oil filter and oil cooler system with a fan fitted also

Bizarre - April 7th, 2010 at 08:34 PM

So as a 72 are you saying this is a Super??

Rossi46 - April 7th, 2010 at 08:36 PM

dont reckon so ? it was a 1200 orginally

olovw - April 7th, 2010 at 09:03 PM

did you consider selling it where you are, saving on shipping costs and getting a car here? there is plenty on the market for good price:no:

Rossi46 - April 7th, 2010 at 09:15 PM

spent too much time, money and hard work on this one getting it to how I want it

matara - April 7th, 2010 at 09:18 PM

That looks like your typical 80's UK old skool resto, especially with the scripted air vents. In fact there is a forum called Back to the 80's that has a lot of info about these cars. Z

Nice looking car and it will be a unique looking car in Australia.

Where are you moving to?

Cheers

Steve
