Dragged home a squareback, and 45 minutes later swapped it for a 64 notch!
what da what ,,its magic.lol.
looks like the second one was a better choice.
Well i only grabbed the squareback as i wanted the notch. That way we both win
That's a swap and a half, and you got an early Notch too! Keep us updated mate!
well done! Notch doesnt look half bad at all!
Scarab (aka: Paul)
thats a big resto.good on ya for taking it on.Another Vee-Dub goes into circulation
Got some pictures here and an update.
The old girl is in pretty bad condition. The body is fine, very little rust but the floor is shot. Drivers side is completly missing. Anyway i have
the floor off the red square. Im guessing they will fit?
Plan is not to get it back on the road, but get it up to a respectable stage and enter it in some local Khanacross competitions. Ive been looking
around for a suitable beetle but have settled on this notch instead.
Dont expect this to be started on in the next few weeks, school holidays start in four so will get into it then.
First thing ill do is working out what ive got, and ditching the front disc brakes.
Second Type3 ever, after 25 vw's, ive finally got one!
My inspiration, Byran Thompsons immortal F5000 sports sedan. yes i know its a fasty, but how would that paint scheme look on a 64 notch!
That's it, its starting get unfair you keep finding too many good vdubs
I always wanted a notch but the closest I could get was a fasty.
Good luck with the project, make sure you keep us all updated as it progresses.

just don't get any more notches or I'll get too jealous
seeing though your using the colour scheme are you going to use a mid mounted v8 like the Byran Thompsons fastback?
An unregistered early Notch for khanacross?! That's mad. I hope that if you're not going for rego then you will have some mad open exhausts through the bodywork or something similar to make it worthwhile. If you were in SA then I would tell you just to register it and drive it to events. I can't afford a trailer and tow car so my everyday car has to do khanacross duty. I can imagine that if you have to get a roadworthy certificate, however, that registration becomes much less appealing!
