hey everyone, just saying gday and throwing some pics of me panel i have just finished restoring(minus paint for obvious reasons). its a 71 panel, last regoed in 81, replaced all structural rust with fresh metal( only caught myself on fire twice), light rub down and sealed og paint, nice amount of patina, 4 inch narrowed adjustable beam, zero offset dropped spindless, adjustable rear spring plates with a 3 inch step in the plate also. all bushes, hoses, brakes and bearings replaced with new. freshened up1600 sp, with stainless exhaust, sidewinder remodded for extra clearance, interior was a home job bar the front seats and door cards. fixed up the wirnig which was pretty good overall. rides nice at the level it is now and can clear the speed humps (mostly) around coffs, been regoed for about a month now and cant get the smiile off my face, the OTHER car is getting cobwebs! any how ill post up some pics of it done, i pretty much lost all the build pics as my harddrive crashed have one of before though, Warning to all the shiny paint lovers......look away now!

Very nice looks a little like my 69
Oh wow, that looks really nice mate. Good job.
Did you have to roll those rear guards?
Nice van mate. Would be better with a coat of paint. What's your plan for the interior? Is it staying a panel van? Looks too nice in there now to carry loads.
thanks for the coments guys.................. rolling rear guards was not needed as im running some pretty small tyres at the back also, orig put 195/60/15's on and they were scraping the guards, so took them off and just put some 165/50 on, low profile so revs higher, but actually feels better with a stoc 1600sp motor around town and on short trips, im definately getting some higher profile tyres on a set of stockies for the back for long trips, should bring the top speed up a bit, but heck, its a kombi and its low...so slow i go anyway!, as for the interior.....i wanted to make it nice and clean, all original paint still there, just covered with some fresh vinal and carpet on the floor, keeping it real simple here, building up a brace and platform i can put in for camping trips, for the mattress, and as for the "coat of paint" each to there own i guess, personally, i love a ratter, but even i like a bit of comfort on the inside!!!!
Love the plate!
very tasty, great work there. I assume you are waxoiling it within an inch of it's life.
