we bought this car for parts but once we got it home we decided to restore it .
It had a lot of rust but we persisted and it has taken 12 months to get to were it is today

The carpet kit is a TMI I got it from the states .
should be regoed in the next week or so cant wait to go for a cruise ,

THAT IS AN AWESOME COLOUR SCHEME!!!
What type/ brand of paint are you using?
the side panel colour looks cream in the photos and its the colour I'm tring to find for my bug... did you paint this yourself or send to a
spayer?
You've done an excellent job on it mate, congrats 
Anything else in the pipes for it?

Thanks I painted it my self .
It is a protec 2 pak . The creme is a standard colour will have to find the name and the other colour is that mazda colour it changes it looks purple
then it goes copper / coke looking in the sun .
as for next for it I will build a new motor for it not sure what size will be turboed as it is curently running a blow through system .

Looks great mate!! Just a quick question about the 2 pics of rust you have there, how did you go about fixing those two sections? I have the same rust
spots and am not real sure how to tackle it. Not quite to the extent that you have but pretty close. I tell you what if my beetle looks half as good
as yours I will be pumped.

thanks for that .
as for the rust I cut out the rusted areas and made plates to the same size and welded into place that way there is little bog required . I also
sprayed lanolin every where on the inside to try and help prevent any further rust .
