sorry to everyone, be patient

Purple Martin - July 28th, 2003 at 04:54 PM

Well the FAQ says a file must be less than 1 megabyte :o
http://www.aussieveedubbers.com/forum/faq.php?page=messages#5

If your pic is over 1 megabyte, I'll bet it's either a .bmp or a very big .jpg at 100% quality.

Even half of that would be way too big!!! Ideally you should get your pics down to about 50 - 70kb size. Any bigger than this will take forever to load for people with modems (i.e. most of us).

You can do this by:
1. reducing the dimensions to about 600 pixels wide (if it's landscape) or 500 pixels high (if it's portrait, so it can be seen without scrolling).
2. saving the image as a .jpg file with reduced quality: 20% quality usually still looks good and the file size is heaps smaller than if you used 100%.

Hope that helps, good luck! :D

LittleMissHerbina - July 29th, 2003 at 09:37 AM

Doug Sweetman - July 29th, 2003 at 02:22 PM

very nice.

I cant think of much that would make it look better - its pretty flash as it is.

The 5 spoke mags look sweet with that colour.

All I could think of is - Rossi headlights and a sports steering wheel.

But its horses for courses....

KOM123 - July 29th, 2003 at 10:17 PM

Is that a funky cow hide pattern interior? Looks very nice :)

helbus - July 29th, 2003 at 11:53 PM

Yes that is a nice purple. :thumb

Similar to flames on bus.

The bus actually belongs to my other half. I will have to get her to pose next to her ride too.

Maybe that can be a new thread. Pics of owners and their cars? :bounce

LittleMissHerbina - July 30th, 2003 at 09:21 AM

thanks everyone.
Empi, you are a darling you know that??

yes the cow covers are cool. They cost a bit though, $300 for front and back. Had a winning on the pokies and thought i would treat myself!!!

Owners with their cars, a great idea, that way we can actually see who we are talking to.

PHAT BUG - July 30th, 2003 at 05:18 PM

Your bug looks awesome, you've done a great job!!

Now all you need is to SLAM it, and become a member of the OILDRIPPERS!!

The purple is nearly the same colour as on my bug, a great choice!

LittleMissHerbina - July 31st, 2003 at 01:38 PM

it looks so blue in these photos but it is a mauve kind of colour, i am happy with it.

does anyone know where i can get another centre cap for the 5 spokes?
I am missing one on the other side.
