62 Kombi
nicko - July 28th, 2003 at 02:16 PM

I picked this up this 62 approx panel about 2 weeks ago. I am starting to wonder why! I will be pretty good at welding in replacement panels if I ever finish this one. It may end up being only good to wreck.

I will try to add photos again If they dont show up any suggestions

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
you must never say your going to wreck a split mate, its just wrong :(
they are never too rusted to restore.

36 KB should work. I'll be pissed of they dont.

rice_girl - July 30th, 2003 at 04:59 PM

it has potential :) can't wait to see the progress, how much did you pick it up for?

nicko - July 30th, 2003 at 05:02 PM

Pickle - nice and rusty and these photos make it look good

nicko - July 30th, 2003 at 05:07 PM

Cost me $100 but that was to have the owner clean all the junk he had stored in out so it was really free.

nicko - July 30th, 2003 at 05:14 PM

The worst rust is in the front right hand side. It sat in a paddock for 20 years and water gor in through the aerial in the roof. The car sort of leaned to the right hand side and down at the front so this is where all the water collected. What worries me the most is the rust in the chassis where the front right outrigger used to be.

tdegens - June 20th, 2005 at 07:55 PM

Gutters look ok. Looks all complete, with handles, glass seats, etc. Just cut out and replace with new panels and have a very straight bus.
