We saved an unfinished project as he was left sitting for years with no paint and had lots of surface rust.
We took 20 hours to sand all the rust off and we just painted him with $79 tin of clear paint, put him all back together and added a 1916 motor and
his a goodie
Nice solid oval that gotta b happy .M

what is the name of the workshop it is in?
That's our workshop Ian Rose Automotive Services at Rutherford they are all our bugs we mainly work on the usual family car not vw's as a rule as
there's not enough around to make a living from.
We do put on a vw run once a year at the workshop check out the link below

How did the times and speeds compare with portland Ian?
This will be a good comparison for future reference.
Man that was the bargain of the year from CT - I was too slow....but glad to see it went to a good home!
Al
At Gunnedah the track was hot so I didn't have good starts as I had a lot of axle tramp best time a 9.9 at Gunnedah and Portland 9.6
Not much spin off the start to much grip at Gunnedah. It was hot 30dec
I seem to always get my best times at Portland.
It will be good to see what times I get on the 1/4 mile at Sydney this week end.

I'm so pleased to see what Ian and Rose have done with it. It almost brings a tear to my eye.
It took me longer to remove the gearbox from my '56 than it took for Ian and Rose to turn the '54 from a dust collector into what you see above.
It's a lucky little oval.
It doesn't have time to collect dust now.
YIKES
What a great looking oval....
and all that rubbing back Rose....
I hope Ian helped You... lol
That car really stands out from the rest.... EXCELLENT...
Great Racing Rose....

great racing get some LEAD out
It was heaps different racing on a 1/4 mile track
to use 4th gear or not to use 4th gear so close to the finish line so in the end I didn't use it.
My time sheet with my best 60ft, reaction I was having a little sleep
Here's some vids of a great day of racing.
