Hey Aussieveedubbers,
Ashley here.
Just gonna post some details up about my Vw and upload pics.
Basically I bought a 1963 Vw beetle blue.
It has 2 inch fiberglass widen guards all round.
Running 4 wheel disk brakes Holden pattern.
It has a sweet 1776cc engine built well with big cam etc gt40r coil and a single 40mm weber plenty of goodies inside. Runnig full stainless steal
extractors and phat boy muffler.
Interior fully carpeted and commodore seats tidy inside.
Out side is pretty ruff needs slight resto again but a good starting for the dollars I paid.
I'll post pics to when I bought her till she sits ATM since then done a small amount of wOrk.
Thanks for reading
Ashley
so there is a few before photos,
since then i have put commodore pursuit rims on it home made 4 inchs in front with 135/75/15 front tyres rears are 7 inch reversed with 255/65/15.
some might not like the look its my car and i havent seen it on a dub before so being diffrent, the plan is pro stars and drag lites down the track,
so we have changed the front guards back to standards not happy with the 70 guards so i might go back to 67 so i can run my rossi headlights, rears
are standards but they are in the process of being widen 85 mm(big i no) bit i didnt like the glass guards so thought we would make our own.
there isnt much i need to do with the car. going to lower in alot in the rear yet also going to pull motor out clean her up and refresh all the seals
etc etc. if you want any more info let me know, this is one car of our 4 vw beetle family.
Sounds cool, look forward to seeing some pics.
Where are you and how long ago did you buy it?
Located in Rockhampton bought it just after the floods in late Jan early Feb.

i have widen the rear guards 90mm.
im now in process of making a widen bumper to suit.
it has 15x7 reversed pursuit rims
15x4 pursuit rims made our selves invented some new swear words too.
have done white walls with chrome trims
engine has has a freshen up and paint(car is a mooneyes rat style hence the colours)
so engine is in and running custom air in take to be finished.

Ash the bug is looking good!
I'm glad she has ended up with someone who is doing the right thing with her..
Keep on enjoying her.
Scott
Hey Scott.
Progress is slow. But getting there! You don't happen to have the original plates off it! I'm happy to buy?
Hey ash yeah i still have the plates but they are not for sale sorry. they have just been attached to my ‘73 beetle. they are my way of getting to
keep just a little bit of my old bug.
I started a thread on here for the ‘73. it too is a slow long term project.
I understand Scott, I see you spent some
Money on it.got all the receipts still. Where are you located I may come show you it next year when I'm in Brisbane.
I'm out at ipswich probably to the end of the yr unsure where we'll be. all the receipts for the bug were given to Chris when he bought it off me.
all i have left is a few copies of hot 4s where the bug got a photo in. and some time sheets from the one and only Time i ran it down the strip.
Id still love to see the car in person again anytime we are in similar locations.

They are commodore wheels and the brakes are from volkswagon conversions on the gold coast I believe from the receipts and he makes them what ever
pattern you like.
Hope this helps
