Baja T3 Wagon
Desert Bug - August 3rd, 2003 at 10:35 PM

Pics of my '73 Baja wagon that I took up to remote central north Arhnem Land (NT) in'81 when I moved up there to work on an Aboriginal Community. This thing went places where 4x4s couldn't, particuarly in mud. It had a Country Buggy transaxle mounted in '64 wagon rear suspension set with positive camber and the front end wound up to the max and the bottom beam packed out 20mm to give it some serious positve castor. Motor was 1671 (88mm bore). I cut the lower front off to better approach angle, it had 15" clearance under the motor and 12" under the front end. It was unreal to drive and one time towed a bogged Landcruiser out of the mud, much to his disgust.
