Hey all new to this forum.
Been working on this beetle for about a year now.

Many headaches. 1300 had a bottom end bearing spun, took it out, bought a 1600 TP. That had the exact same issue.
Tore it down. Found out it was a 1916. Got an engine kit for a 1916, then found the block was cracked!!
So this is what it looks like atm. Engineless, narrowed and lowered but I haven't dropped it as far as I want yet cos no point until I get the engine in.
Got an all black interior for it ready to go in, and 8 inch wheels for the rear with deep dish that will also be black. Still a long way to go....

Will be worth it in the end hope you have some better luck with a new case for the engine

As long as the body is all in good nick you'll be fine Build that new engine up nice and strong so you'll never have to worry about it again!

Finally got it up and running and registered. Just went with a single port 1600 for the moment. Here's a couple of pics. Looks pretty ratty, just how I like it
