love a bargin buy :P
im sure a few may know this car... only reason there was a Volkspower sticker in the glove box :?
saw her this arvo. called some Luft members for advice (thats Ben & others that didnt answer their phones ) brought her.
same bits of rust on the lip of the boot. few specs down low at the front. 2-3 other specs around. very tidy. all guards, floor, sills, gutters,
front/back perfectly clean.
love the colour. whats it called. also love the white roof. from centre up it is faded but looks great.
plans: dont know if i should buff her or not. pay someone to do a few small mods on her. for now, wash, clean up, ready for rego & drive her.
ohhh steering wheel rocks... well i like it.

3rd number in chassis number is the last digit in the year that it was made, from memory the car is a 66-67
Was thinking of this car the other day, it was at volkspower years ago when i worked there and has a 1916 in the back of it, the last person to own it
was a guy called Laurence, was trying to track him down myself to enquire about the car.
Let me know if you want more history on it.
BTW Lyle Dean says "Hi"

empi - January 17th, 2012 at 04:59 PM
Dean would remember it, 3toes (member here) who used to work there ended up with the 1916cc motor that was in it. if Dean doesnt remember there will
be a record of the car being there 8 or so years ago.
I am happy to help out with what ever u need.

Wheels in photo are a 67 type 3 unique wheel with a stock hub cap, with a PCD of 5 x 205 (your car is 4 x130).
A 356 Porsche wheel is 90% identicle, 4 - 4.5 inch wide x 15, you may have an issue fitting anything wider undr the rear with the ofsets they offer.
