Nice car lach,
What are the specs?
I also have a 69 bug, get my Ps in oct.... Cannot wait ..!
nice getting mine in sep um im running a 1835cc motor with a light weight pully and a high performance fuel pump. ive got rid of the old gear selecter and put in a shifter that is hyme jointed with a modded selecter rod..it was a Empi shifter but this is alot stronger. widened track to fit my 10 inch wide porsche twists on the rear and not sure how wide the front is get back to u on that.also just brought high performance belistein shocks all way round car. on the way i have a monster tacho full digital and some sparco racing harnesses.
Looking good!
Nice first car
Very nice 1st car mate.
Are you keeping it in the original blue or are you planning on a colour change?
Dan
Gonna malt black it
Would love to see it in person.
You'll have to get it to Valla - Dyllan will have his matt black bug there as well (with a licenced driver) but I don't think he gets his Ps 'till
next year.
Awesome look forward to seeing updates
my plan is to get it to valla and rali raceway lookin forward to it.
The kid has worked hard, theres nothin on the plate that he has not worked for...
.
Its a good solid car with some good little specs
1835 very strong little motor with good accesories
Suspension should be good...Modded Zs for adjustment rears
Lowered Beam fronts...no irs but is stiff and not much
droop now
Brand new Bilsteins all 4s with fronts modded to suit
Fresh new disc an drums
Runs full Bolt on spacers to fit the tens on back
eights on front and bolt on spacers front
These r standand widen Gaurds...(great job mr brown)
Kid has bought himself some good bolt accesories as well (not bad son)
Body not perfect will take work but clean for first car
Good work on the car. The only thing I can think of is to check the legality of the size of the wheels. I don't live in NSW so am no expert by any
means but from other posts I have read, you may not get them approved by an engineer.
Would pay to check with someone that actually knows though so you don't waste time and money if they are illegal.
Good luck with the project and I hope it can be done for you.

At least there is a plan B. Will be an awesome first car and all respect to Lachlan for being able to do what he has done. Even more so due to his
age.
