Hi People,
Long time reader, so about time I started to participate.
Bought my bug off here a few years ago.
Finally it has come to the time when I will get it registered thanks to the efforts of Matt and Col.
My girl and I are looking forward to bringing her home from the cold of my storage shed and start cleaning her up.
Here is a link to the original add.

Hi Carl and Em. Welcome to here, bout time you stopped lurking
I copy paste a link by using 'control C' for copy once you hilite the address of the page you want, then 'control V' for the paste.
Works for me, certainly there's probably an easier method, but what the hey ????

Hi Carl n Emily,I've been waiting for Mary to come and visit and when she does I get sick, bummer she's my
favorite lady! But I hear she's gonna be running around the streets soon?you guys better keep an close eye one her cause you know there" something
about Mary"!
Hope you're better soon Cole.
and for everyone else,...
If my car is to have a name it is Mary because that was the original owners name, and she managed to never have an accident and keep her in a pretty
tidy state,.. so it's named after her.
(my girl names all our cars!!!)
The story goes that after Miss Mary D. passed away, the relatives were going to turn this into a paddock basher!!! what the!!!
Paddock basher......that's when we got to check her out.
Lucky save, that's for sure.
Thats a nice bug mate!
So is my car registered yet Matt?
Sorry mate, first thing tomorrow. Had a few jobs creep in today but they haver been finished now. Mary is starting much easier now being charged up, also have found another Bosch (German) regulator I'll be fitting to test and hopefully improve the charging system, otherwise I'm afraid she'll need a new regulator....just trying to keep the old look....
That's totally ok.
Just curious.
We are in no rush at all.
Emily and I love the way you take your time with her.
She needs a gentle hand like yours to wake her up,.. she's been asleep for a while.
Keep her as long as you want/ need.
great lookin car, what u got planned for her?
Nice patina. I can't believe how solid it is!

Saw Mary on friday and looked good now she is wearing some black plates. Really is a special bug!
So, my girl and I picked up our car from Matt yesterday.
How lovely it is to be able to go for drive in an old volks.
It's like stepping into a time machine.
We love it.

So,...
Our trip to Action day has begun...
The starting problem seems to indeed be a doggy battery.
I stole another from a mates MG and she started up with no drama's. Thank you MR English MG for your donation to your German friend.
For the first time since rego I drove her from our storage shed to home.
It's been a while since I've driven an all drum brake car. Scary at first,.. but I'm used to it again now.
Then tomorrow it is onwards to Action Day.
See you there!!!
looking forward to checkin out your rig! catch ya tomorrow!

See ya there guy's.
What a lovely day.
Bright sun shine and lots of volks and folks.
It was great to cruise down with Marcus and family in their red kombi.
Our little time capsule of a bug made it there and back with no problems at all on her maiden run since rego.
Hope everyone else made it home safely too.
Glad you, Emily and Mary enjoyed the day, and of course happy you FINALLY have been out for a drive.
It was great to meet you today guys
Hope to catch up again soon ... and don't wash it
never got to meet you but i loved your car... that patina is just unreal
Was good to see this in the metal yesterday! I love the original look.
Thanks we are glad you enjoyed seeing it.
Next year it will be cleaner.
