You are one lucky bugger. Wish my uncle had stuff like that. Good luck with them and keep us posted with progress.
Hell yeah. Looks fairly solid. Great starting point anyway!
Thanx guys i know I've got my work cut out for me, but I'm keen as to get it up to the coast.
Your Uncle's a very nice man!
thanx mate
Great stuff. good base for starting and cannot go wrong with a split.
thanx.. its got some rust in a few places that need major attention but nothing an angle grinder and a welder cant fix lol.
Dubster
this is some of the rust spots i was talking about
almost the same clour as your beetle mate, well done. but I always reckon those old splitties look like a hell of a lot of work.
Cheers
Brendan
Nice score,enjoy,i know i would.
yeah i know hey, and yeah i know i've jumped in to the deep end but hey i'm willing to give it a shot.
thanx beetle_nut, yeah i dont know whats going to cost more restoring it or transporting it up to Queensland lol.
Very nice score mate
A word of advise I would cost up the amount of repairs as repair panels alone with be a few $'s.
I'm sure you have already done this it helps if your going to carry out all the rust repairs yourself.
enjoy
Looks like some fun times ahead. Would luv to get my hands on a split one day
Thanx for the heads up on those panels.
I did look into it and yeah they are a bit exy, but it's a long term project so I'll be buying one panel at a time.
Baja it!!!!!
Smiley
What a split window kombi? Nah I'll skip on that thanx smiley.
