How are those wheels fitted. I'm guessing that its been IRS'd, but what about the brakes/stud pattern. Any rub on the rears?

I could be wrong !!!! but I think they are VOLVO T5R wheels
7"x17"
pcd is 5x112 .... IRS with late bay brakes maybe??
offset is 40mm similar to some Porsche so it my fit OK.

I ran a set on a Vauxhall (UK HOLDEN) I used to have.

Great looking bus :thumb

cheers people for the nice words on me new ride.
the wheels are just big 17inch alloys don't know what there off originaly and the stud pattern is the same as a rover 800 model car with the rover cross drilled and vented disk brakes all round.

its been irs'ed as you might have guessed ;) with one off custom made parts and it has dropped spindiles with an adjuster on the front aswell.
the guy i got it off specializes in one off custom bits for vans so you can guess its got lots of special bits on it.
there is no rubbing on any of the wheels and no panels have been cut so the wheels fit either, which is good :D

as for the is it isn't it a samba i think that it is a samba and unless you happen to be MR.VW himself then it will stay as my new sambaaaaaaaaaaaaaa :cool:

You dont have to be MR.VW to know that the SAMBA is a 23 window deluxe or a 21 window deluxe.
It must have the roof windows and sunroof.
The van you have is a 15 window .:D

"Samba" or "Sondermodel" in
German refers to the Special Deluxe model bus 23 windows, Sealing Wax
Red lower half and Chestnut Brown upper half, 51-58 model year only.
These are the true "sambas" as the factory has described. After 58 the
factory stopped using this term and color scheme. People have since
referred to all deluxes as such

I stand corrected my bus is not a true samba but neither is a load of other so called sambas so i think i'll keep calling mine a samba as long as everyone else does :D
still a top bus tho eh :P

its cyber green and arrow silver both vw colours I've been told, just not old vw colours ;)
its got a matching interior aswell lowback buckets up front and a rock and roll bed in the back.
