Well the wife's away in sydney with the kiddies and I
thought the carport looked empty so I got this 1973 L bug
to keep the shitbox 69 company.Have seen this bug hiding in
a carport for years and the owner was happy to part with it.
The curved windsreen Lbug superbug never did much for me
but I think he might just grow on me .Happy days
Great score mate!
They are a top car to drive once you have sorted them
does it have a glove box lid dude
yeah great looking glove box but no gloves bugger
Its got a dash too
Nice score dude!
Looks pretty good for rust too which is always a good thing with any late bug especially in the rear pillars .
Whats the air plenum like in the front as if it's good your on a winner for sure .
under the hood
Hi
Good score, it looks unmolested apart from the washer bottle mod. I like to keep the stock bottle and fit an electric pump to the outlet.

Looks like a good solid base.
Only thing I would suggest checking up on before you pour too much $$ into it is the compliance plate is missing.
in NSW you can get around this but they can make you jump through hoops to do so, QLD should be the same.
Mine doesn't have one either.
You may need VIUU or whatever it is called.
They just told me to go away when I tried to book mine in
looks tidy as tez! u gunna slam it or what?
Do you think it needs it?
was thinking may raise it like a 4bee
Looks nice and clean in photos. Great base for a start.

"IF IT'S ROCKING DON'T BOTHER KNOCKING"
Looks OK
but check for RUST between the bottom corners of the rear window and the end of the rain channel..
VERY BAD AREA for rust..
also where the guards bolt on..
and the air chamber where the water goes from the vent in front of the windscreen
but Looks OK from the pics..
what year model??
