i currently have the window rubbers with the metal trim in them.
the rubbers need replacing, can i still use the old trim in the new rubbers or do i have to replace both?????
You can use the originals..
so long as you don't buy Cal Look rubbers...
these have no grooves for the aluminium strips...
Late beetles had a chromed plastic strip...
I saw these in a USA website yesterday and they cost
$25US per window.. $100 a car.... Yikes..
I still have all My aluminium strips, I always thought they were too hard to fit..
but My Son says they are easy....
LEE
PS: maybe next time..
you can gett he origional rubbers that will take the trim strip from Vintage in Sydney 02-9789-1777
Fitting the trim to theglass n rubbers is a differnt matter takes time and paitance
cool guys thanks ill order some new ones and get a glass guy 2 do it. i dont have patience. ha...
you have to fit the rubber to the glass then the trim to the rubber then the assy into the car
yes takes a bit of stuff around I like doing them especially the stainless trims the alloy trims bend so easy you can stuff them just by
looking the wrong way but time and patience is the order
Where are you located ????
