hello i have a 1959 beetle which was imported from australia 3 years ago to the uk the last mot with is still in the window (green and white window
sticker) is from victoria in 1988
i am looking for a roofliner as the australian bugs had a different roofliner to the euro ones and cant get my hands one one here at all
does anyone know where i can find one or a website where i can pick one up from
and at the same time any help with past australian history of the car would be cool as well

For the history of the car, you can get the Birth Certificate from the VW museum, which for an Australian assembled CKD might give you the production
date and date it left the factory and that is about all. ( http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=398 ) Another option is the rego history. Website is here: http://www.aomc.asn.au/eng®records.htm I got 2 for my
Beetles and it really only gave the original rego and the date it was first registered.
