i purchased a jvc hd40, purely for incar fotage while racing. but this stupid camera does not like recording while driving let alone racing.
i made a camera stand that it sits in thats bolted to the tunnel .it does vibrate a bit.
the first time i went racing it would stop recording as soon as id take off. it would say that the file was damaged . so i went home and had a play
around and it worked fine just cruising around.i set it up on the stand and recorded while i hit the stand for a good few minutes and it continued
recording. so i was stumped...
the sound is realy sensitive and overamplifies noises you wouldnt realy take notice of..almost like my car is conpletely stripped out...its pissing
me off cause ive just bought a vid cam that aint working for my application....
any one with any info or advise....

damn, they look good, if only i knew about those beforehand.
thanks, but ill try and sought out my problem first before going and spending more money...
Use it on SD, they have a hard drive protector that parks the hard drive when it is jolted a lot. I use mine with a 4Gig card and get sweet video.
cheers bug nut, we sent it back to see if something was wrong with it, and they replaced the hard drive, then when i got it back i tried it out again,
it lasted a lil longer but still ended up cutting out eventialy..
my misus sugested using the sd card instead as the hard drive prob cant handle the vibrations. havent tried it yet as we took it back and havent heard
anything from them for 4 weeks... but ill get it back and have a go.....
what program do u use to download onto the puter....
