I need an urgent hand towing my beetle from Camperdown to Campbelltown, tomorrow morning would be ideal, if anyone has a truck or a trailer and help me please give me a shout.

You can hire a trailer from uhaul for $80 if you have someone who can tow it

Yeah problem being I have no one available to tow it !!

I hunted around online yesterday, trolling through all sorts of foreign car forums, found a thread where a bunch of guys were recommending a guy called "Ian Johnson" of Ian Johnson's Towing, gave him a call, gonna do the job for $200 ... I thought that was pretty decent cause some places were trying to charge $350-400.

All going to plan, the beetle will be on the road this weekend, its getting towed out to Adam today to have the engine dropped and new clutch put in.. Been painfully slow waiting to get it done, in the home stretch now If all goes to plan I'll head out there on Saturday to collect her. You gonna be around ?

Haha. I think we're due for rain this weekend too =/ So hopefully your seals are ok.

Notch is coming along slowwwly. I've been pretty busy and haven't found much time to sand and paint it. I'm gonna give it a good shot this Saturday as I have the day off work Hopefully I can get all the sanding done so the paint has something to stick to. Not sure if I'm gonna use an air compressor or a crap load of rattle cans to spray the car. Rattle cans would give it a rattier look I think. We'll see

Yeah my seals are the same. They're falling apart but no leaks yet. If it's not broken, don't fix it I reckon! Tyres would be a good idea After getting new tyres for mine, it drives much nicer! I think I'm gonna drop the front and back two splines when I get a chance too. I think that job is gonna be hard =/

Talk to Adam and Mick at RAW when you want to get it done... The dropped mine, they do great work and very reasonable prices.

Brilliant. I'll look them up. I've watched videos and read guides, but I think a fair few things can go wrong and I don't want to stuff it up. Cheers!
