Just wondering if anyone had any experiance with lowering the type three and could offer a little help . I am going to have to do it in an uncovered area and get it done quickly as the car is my daily driver. I am faily compotent mechanically but nevver done this on a VW befoe. if anyone can give advice and a rough idea of the tools and aides needed that would be grand.

Hi Jason. I my have recently lowered my squareback myself. Your looking at about half an hour a side for the rear and about the same for the front (all going to plan!) I am in Adelaide and would be happy to help you out.

LOL yeah I lowered that car myself soon after that was posted. Have a new one now that will need to be done sooner or later. The old car had too much rust in the inner front box sections of the body and the beam bearings were shot on one side. Thanks for the offer of elp though.
