Hi
I have just bought my first car which is the beetle and just found out that my driver side seat belt has broke and I have no idea where I could
purchase one. As I know the car is very old and knowing my luck I will need to somewhere that I could buy two.
If you could that would be great and I would like to drive my car more then once =]
thank you

Hi
Nobody helping out? Best bet is to call wreckers yards to see what they have, if you get no luck in perth try the Beetle exchange in Canberra on (02)
6280 4819 or send an email to peter@beetleexchange.com.au. If still no luck then go to an autoparts store - you will proably have to get a whole
set-up but should be less than $150, depends on how original you wan't to keep ur Bug.
Cheers.
id try that in reverse order. ie the autoparts store, then the beetle exchange and as a last resort the wrecker, the cars are there for a reason peoples. a seatbelt is the last thing you want to skimp on. i know i walked away from a very bad crash because i install new belts and not reused the old ones from the 70s.
Not sure if you have Super Cheap in WA, but try them or a Bursons/Repco/AutoBarn etc store for a new seatbelt. Will be around $100 so you might have to save for a week or three to get one but it's worth it
just buy from the manufacturer and cut out the middle man , i did ,bought 4 new ones cheaper than buying from autopart store

I bought two retractable ones from the Vee Dub Centre in Osbourne Park, and the guy also made up a couple of brackets for me that are needed.
hey miss kc lee, we have a forum over here called noh2o collective. http://www.noh2o.org
. the members here will help you out and should send you to the right shops over here..
if its the standard belt that broke and your after a used one, try john at vee dub centre in ossy park on 0892422808.. or kurt at vee dub repairs down
in freo on 94304180. john is a bit of a rip when he wants to be,kurt is always cheaper. but john may have some laying around.
if your after a new set your better off going to super cheap or similar. good luck. and check out the noh2o....
or what POD suggested..
