Moved To Melbourne without the camper!

Hi Guys,
I thought I would introduce myself. I've recently moved over from Cardiff, Wales, with my Fiancee. We intend to stay here for 2yrs before heading back to Wales to get married.

I have recently finished a resotration on a 1972 camper that involved:
Porsche 911 SC engine
Gearbox upgrade
Suspension upgrade
Front 13" 4pot Porsche Bosxter S discs
matching wheels
neptune blue and original VW Black GERMAN LOOK

maybe not for the Stock/concours fan, but after 5yrs in the making we headed around France for our holiday and managed to pick up a couple of pieces of UK show silverwear and magzine features.

unfortunately, with the intention of only being here for 2yrs, I have currently opted to leave the camper behind....very sad!!!!

I would love to continue in with similar minded folk, so thought I would join up :)

Thanks guys. miss the bus and only been here 2months :(

i was hoping to get another aircooled while i was out here, but not sure i'll be able to justify it as i have a 70km commute from Port Melbourne to 10mins north of Lara, and vw's are alot more expensive than I was thinking they would be to warrent one as a second car....

hoping to get to some shows and meets though and hopefully get to know some folk.

I'll put some pics up in the members ride with some of my france trip too....

Not sure the super stiff suspension would be up to the task of the Aussie roads hehe. Yep the bus is in storage with my dad taking it for the occasional spin :)

the upgrade will be Red9design double wishbone on my return i think. possibly modified with adjustable (air/hydraulic coilovers) any info on transporting would make for an interesting read ;)

Not sure i have anything planned for saturday so will try and make an appearance....in my Holden Astra :(

having been to my first vw meet this morning, it has reitereated my thoughts that its going to be very difficult not having my bus over with me for these 2 yrs. i'm not too sure i'm going to be able to live without some sort of vw...
