Way back when my first car was a 1962 Beetle which Dad and i converted into a Baja. Had such great times in that car!!

Now some 30 years later it begins again but this time I am the Dad

This time gouing down the Volk Rod theme with a 1969(??) Beetle

The reason I say 2 into 1 is that im on the way this afternoon to pick up 2 Beetles, a 1962 Baja conversion that will be the engine donor (1600cc twin port) and the other a late 1960's (build date yet to be confirmed) Beetle that will be the roller to start the build with.

Starts out small and escalates quickly will be the most likely scenario

Looking forwards to getting some help and ideas from here...

So it turns out the donor engine has a SA prefix so 1600 non US engine but the rolling shell car turns out to be a 1972 Super Beetle with 112 chassis prefix.

Mac strut/ disc brake front end with IRS.
