barls - August 9th, 2004 at 05:50 PM

so what do you have

emma is buggin - August 9th, 2004 at 07:23 PM

I think it is a 1971 beetle. It is yellow and I have tweety plates, so it is called tweety.

Anthiron - August 9th, 2004 at 07:26 PM

you think? check your rego sticker for the year model. do u know if its a superbug or a standard? oh and welcome to the forum. hope to see some pics of your ride. :bounce

emma is buggin - August 9th, 2004 at 07:34 PM

How can u tell difference between superbug and normal bug?

barls - August 9th, 2004 at 07:37 PM

supers are more round in the nose, have strut front end and have a slightly bigger fuel tank

Anthiron - August 9th, 2004 at 07:42 PM

look under neath the front guards......do you see springs coiling around a strut which sits in the body at the top. if u open the front hood u will see 2 black rubber round things, one on each side of the car in the wheels arches. if so then its a superbug, if not then u will have a beam front end and your shocks will be attached to shock towers attached to the front suspension unit. and it is a standard bug.

i hope that made sense

Nick

Hey Emma, welcome to the forum. Well I for one know Bribie, damn nice place, have spent many happy times there (love the surfside...!). This is certainly the place to learn more about your car. Got any pics of it to show us?

Hi Emma,

My name is Deana (dee_NAH) and I am new as well - just getting my feet wet in the forum. I have a 1963 beetle (daily driver) it isn't all done up.. I think that will be an on going project... kinda like life. I am Planning to do alot of the work myself - with aussieveebubbers help of course ; )

I am from WA anyone else from the perth area? doesnt seem to be that many of us :/
