hey everyone , this will be cool to chat with fellow vw freaks.
Little bit about me and my vw's. Names Klaus and I live on 2.5 acres on the south coast of nsw , Yatteyattah to be precise( its about 1.5 hours
south of wollongong).
Owned vws for about 10 years now varying from bajas , beetles , types3's , kombis and bush buggies. Also have owned Rx2's , ke10 corollas,
gemini's, ej wagon mostly vw's and rotors though.
What projects i've got at the moment are a 71 bug which is getting the 13b jport treatment , tube floor, irs rear , ball joint front, roll cage
plus a shit load more, pretty much everything is modified. It was previosly engineered and according to the guy who did the papers it can again.
Also got a 67 that Ive converted to irs and ball joint front . But this is a long term one( arent they all) .
And to the 77kombi which is the work truck I'm hoping to do a holden v6 converson in the near future as the twin webbered 2ltr doesn't have
enough towing poke. Shit I was trying to keep this brief just got carried away. anyway good to be here.
Welcom to the forum

Hi Klaus. My first car was a ke10 corolla. I LOVED it. I'd but another tomorrow. welcome to the dark side:vader
Welcome Claus, 2.5 acres eh? I wonder how many dubs you can fit into that. I'm stuck on 500sq metres. I've als o got the inconvenience if a bloody HOUSE smack in the middle of it..
Small world I to was tempted by the mighty KE10 & 11 when I was a young pup. Mine had twin 1 3/4 "su's, genie extractors, big cressida valves and port job (modified by a clubman racer),electronic ignition and used to spit gearboxs once a month(always kept spare in shed) good times ahhhh the memories. If my '62 ragtop 2ltr is as much fun when completed I will be very happy =] My favorite story about them was Bill Brown (i think) was getting one ready to race at Bathurst and wrote to the factory " I am getting a 90bhp out of my 1100 corolla I was wondering if there were any factory tips for extracting more power for the race" The factory wrote back " How did you get 90bhp out of our motor?" this was 1969 before Toyota had a motorsports arm.
welcome to the world of VW nuts

Welcome Klaus to the Forum....

You can see & read My Loooong story at : http://au.msnusers.com/My1968restoredBeetle/shoebox.msnw?
A very long term project... Been busy today tracing some wiring problems... looks like I may have pulled too hard on a wire... the wire is there at
both ends... must have a wire broken somewhere... luckily I can pull the wire from either end.. so I'll run another one...
My location is SCONE 330kms N or Sydney.. and its pouring rain here... probably first storm with rain like this for years...
Welcome again... and back to the Beetle... in the shed...

Yep having this size block is handy considering i've got 7 cars on here at the moment 4 of which are vw 1x 69 htprem wagon, owes me about 10 grand, my first car which i've had for 12 years a very unregistered 75 gemini and a type 3 wagon ute thingy which is the one that was fire bombed at north nowra (it donated its suspention for the irs conversion i did to my 67 bug) . Let alone the 6 car 2 storey garage thats here aswell. It helps to house all the car crap I've collected over the years. Everything from R100 mazda parts to brock headed 5ltr motors. I'm not byest on make of cars as long as i've got more vw's that other makes. It probably resembles all the voices in my head. :bounce
