Yet another newcomer to site, I'm Barry and have been into VWs since '74 when my dad forced a 2yr old beetle onto me since then I've never been without an aircooled VW of some kind-it's a disease I'm sure -with no cure!Anyway it'll be good chatting with you folks and by the way this may be a good time to let you know....I'm another Pom !

welcome..Good to see another sunny coaster joining the club.. Ive been driving a vw for only 3 or 4 months and yes it is definately a disease with no cure.. Might see you around the coast somewhere..

I've got a Manx buggy that I bought when I first arrived downunder 16 years ago, now on it's 3rd engine-a pretty much standard Type 4 but goes good and a 1979 convertible beetle complete with its original fuel injected motor that feels brand new

Thanks for the good words on the cars. No I don't have air-con in the cab I just use old technology and put the roof down, The buggy has seen better days but then it has had a bloody hard life since I got it. It's been under water 3 times! It should really have a bit of TLC spent on it but then again it is a buggy.Hey Squiz I'm a cockney bas#@>d from London but you won't hold that against me, just go Millwall!!!
