I'm New! hello all..
SHIFTI - October 20th, 2004 at 12:42 AM

Hi to everyone at aussieveedubbers.com!

I'm obviously new here, and new to VW's in general...

VW's have been in my family (my dad has had several kombies, and thinks they were the greatest thing)

But i'm currently in the market for a VW Golf GTI..

I'm not sure if this forum caters for newer VW's or not, as a quick glance shows mostly discussion about older models..

Am i mistaken? (remember i'm new!)

If i'm in the right place that's good! If not, can someone steer me in the right direction?

Thanks for your help!
cheers

Welcome! :)

All VW models are welcome here, although there's a lot more aircooled nuts here than water cooled (approximate ratio 2850:1).

I personally like the newer models as well, but I think we'll have a hard time convincing them all. :)

Hi there

I have a beetle (well it's on it's way to us any day now) and owned another which is sitting waiting to be rebuild or sent to heaven (??) - but I also have a Golf GTI (not for sale - sorry...)

i'm in sydney...

hey, in the close future i might be finding myslef surrounded by performance parts for VW's and audi's....

full exhaust systems, engine management, pod filters/air induction...

even clutches and flywheels..

Will people be intersted in any of this?

scottbugged - October 22nd, 2004 at 09:26 PM

If it's off a VW or can be fitted to a VW you are for sure at the right place, I spent 6 months looking for 1 part for my bug and in 5min of being on the forum I had 4 to choose from, so this is the place to find things needed.
