Hi all!
Ive been a lurker for some months now so thought I should introduce myself. :thumb (mind you my profile will tell you Ive onyl been a member a short
while. - I had probs with my account so had to create another one
)
I caught the VW bug some months back and decided to get back to a real car and get us a VW. So the 96' Ford Futura went up for sale and I started
hunting around for a good Kombi. We recently found our new lover
We are well and truly hooked and have grand plans (who doesnt?
) for our
Kombi and we havent even picked her up yet!
Ive always been drawnto older cars with character. My first was an Austin 1800 MK II. Dont know what happened there for a minute, but I certainly
strayed for a bit there :dah
Ill try and get some pics on here so you can all take a look - Hell! you may even recognise her! - its a small worlk out there in VW land
Im in the Blue Mountains - any one from around here?
See you around the boards!,

hi dude nice looking auto is she ex army?
welcome to the mad house.:thumb
nope not ex army.... that i know of..... just owned by someone who loved army I spose' Painted it army green and put curtains in the back that are some weird cross between army and hippy - Army print with army green hippy looking flowers mixed in :duh LOL!
Hi!
I'm new here too, and I have just acquired an auto 1970 Blue Beetle
! :P
Your Kombi looks awesome! Haven't seen one before painted that colour, but it kinda suits it! And the curtains in it would definitely have to
stay.... matches it to a tee by the sounds of it!!
Oh nah, definately not our style! She will get a respray eventually anyhow. Picking her up in about a week and cant wait to get started on fixing her
up :thumb
Got some pics of your beetle?
Hahaha, so what are your plans with this Kombi then?
And I have just put some pics up today of my Beetle in the Member's Rides section.

oh will go check them out.
Long term plans include lowering her, at least paint the top half white and Im still pushing for the rest to be a deep ruby red. Fix up the seats and
soundproof the car a bit. Prolly stick a subaru engine in it at some point too, get some white wall's on her... Im sure theres more.... Basicly want
to keep the classic look, but add some modcons too
oh! and take the spare off to front and stash it in the back! LOL!
