Always appologise and give her a bit of a stroke Mine likes it when i rub her Dash). I learnt i should appologise the hard way when she broke down (obviously still mad at me and giving me a taste of my own medicine!

Go the Fro! Yeah that was one awesome looking afro dude! So what made you want to make a Herbie look-a-like and not something different and custom?

Herbie was what got me into veedubs in the first place, when i was about 3! hahaha. i got phoebe from a neighbor/family friend who had been giving me lifts in it and letting me play in it since i was born pretty much, and i just always saw her as herbie, but never thought i could get the right graphics, so i was going for a bit of a custom, as you can see from the interior. however when i finally found them after about 3 years search about 6 weeks ago it really got me so excited and motivated that i did the paint myself, two weeks of uni holidays without sleep sanding and prepping and painting, and then got the graphics on and i didnt stop smiling for a week! so basicallly herbie has been an obsession with me my whole life, and i always wanted one, but not just a generic one, shes still individual and phoebe, from the interior, and a few things i will add as i go along to keep her individual, but i just cant stop lovin the look of those stripes...

Welcome from another Canberra-ite. this forum is totally addictive. I started looking at beetles and now thanks to this forum I'm driving one every day..
