Seeing as how it's polite to introduce yourself...

Hi, I'm Karl. It's been 3 hours since my last visit to an internet forum about something mechanical. Is this a good place to get help or am I more stuffed than ever?

I am looking into what I can get for how much dinero in the way of a Kombi. I want Jamie Oliver's, but he's a little hard to get hold of. I am interested in a classic Kombi Camper, and I know less than nothing about models, accessories, whats good, bad, what to avoid etc, so I shall be simple, as my ignorance permits me to be - I want a kick arse Kombi pop top camper. I want to buy one that is fully restored, and really well restored, mechanically A1, and preferably modernised to the degree these things can be. I am a realist, not a purist.

I'll have a really good look around, and see if you guys have a thread section for wanted ads, like a lot of forums do, just wanted to say hi and declare my intentions!

Scott Joyner, and old mate who now lives in Sydney, put me on to this forum. Hope I don't embarrass him....

Thanks in advance for your help!
