my punch buggy racing project
punchbuggyracer - June 14th, 2006 at 09:21 AM

firstlly hi to all the guys i meet at harry's diner last friday night. it was good to meet some fellow beetle heads. i must say i was very impressed, with the fact that it took vw beetles to start the burn outs.

my project has really started to get some momentum. my dad went thirds in a beetle with me in mind. one guy to the engine and the other took the alloy wheels. i got the lavender 72 super bug with flared fiber glass guards and and whale tale.

firstly i ditched the whale tale straight up in favour of an oem lid. then i bought a wood grain steering wheel and boss kit which will be colour coded to the car when i pick a new colour.

just yesterday i manage to win a type iv 2ltr kombi motor for $290 so i should get that next week and then the real fun begins.

also i have laybuyed a qld personilised number plate which i couldnt believe was still avaliable: 05UPA. ha ha very appropriate.

im also getting sum stickers mad up for it one on the front: PUNCH BUGGY
and on the back: STINK BUG

my original plan was to get a suburu EJ20T and have neons in the back that said STINK BUG and when the boost kicked in it said STI BUG. ha ha that would of been cool, but now im saving weight and following the foot steps of V-force

while post photos soon in the my rides section.

Yes build that type 4 and put it in the back, I have two type 4 performance cams just sitting idle, one from V-force and also a web-cam 86 grind, either will bring your type 4 to life.

would either of those cams be avaliable for sale???

yep, they are for sale although a bit more expensive than your type 1 performance cams.
