Hello,
I am new here. My friend Dirk and me are travelling through AUS with a 1975 kombi van.
In Darwin we possibly have to sell the kombi because we will go on travelling alone.
Does anybody have the contact details of Ziegam Pty Ltd. in Darwin? There should be a good mechanic that we would like to contact.
Other question would be: how are the chances that we can find a new owner for our kombi there?
Thx for any replies in advance and greets,
Silke
There is a backpackers/travellers car market in Darwin - I have never used it but have seen it during my travels. It is now the Dry Season (holiday season!) so there should be lots of travellers who would like to buy your Kombi. Good luck!
Never heard of Ziegam Pty Ltd. in Darwin.
There are two VW mechanics in town, not that I've used either of them, or promote either of them in any way.
MBN - phone 89472111 - are in Sadgroves crescent Winnellie
Continental Motors - phone 89812835 - are at 25 Daly street - on the main way into town on the right.
There is a backpacker car market in town on the corner of Mitchell and Peel streets (across the road from Shenanighans irish pub.
Have fun in Darwin while you're here. Be sure to check out the V8 supercars at Hidden Valley - a huge weekend that see's 40,000 people (at least
half of Darwin) go. Town also kicks this time of year....enjoy
Hidden Valley race day is sensational...
Even better when you've scored a hot lap in a V8 Brute tomorrow....

Hi there,
thanks for all your replies and tips regarding Darwin:-)!
The one on Dalby Rd sounds like the one that some other kombi travellers supposed us to go to.
Greets from Airlie Beach,
