another pom lands in melbourne...

Hi Everyone,


I just thought I'd drop in and say "hi".

I'm from the UK.. Came here in January this year after working in Sweden for a couple of years. I'm working in Melbourne at Ford up in Broadmeadows (lucky me, eh?!) in the research department, and living in Richmond.. just off Bridge Road.

I've got a black Porsche 914 back in England that is in storage after 4 years of great fun cruising around the shows, and I even took it to Sweden for my last summer there. I don't have any plans to bring it here just yet, so I am just starting to look around for a car in the Melbourne area to get back in to things here.

I look forward to using the forum to get to know some of you guys, and to meet and catch up with you at the club meets and shows.

Research with Ford - does that involve checking how much meat and beer you can fit in the boot, and how many sheila's inside the cabin?

Yeah used to be a designer at Ford until I moved over to Toyota, time to move on and all that....still it's good to see I'm not the only one into aircooled motors!!!!

Have you signed up with Volkswagen club of Victoria- If not you can see what events are coming up on their site...
Tassie looks like the big one, so get your ticket and accomodation sorted quickly if you fancy it.....

The boss is telling me Tassie isn't to next easter!!! (the National bugin). The day of the vw is Sunday Nov 26th at cranbourne racecourse..... -You can tell who the events organizer is in this household....

oh, hi lee...

we have met. when i first arrived, we went out for dinner.. big gang, including mr burgoyne. remember? must have been about feb time. was after the talk in the city by the designers from your place and holden.

ill send you a u2u... do you have a vw here?
