I've just joined the forum and my reasons are fairly selfish: I want to pick your brains. I haven't had a lot to do with veedubs since having my
first car accident in a 57 oval window and a few close calls in early Kombis in the 60s and 70s.
I'm not a tradesman, but I sort of get by if things aren't too complicated
Thanks to my daughter, I've gotten involved with a couple of notchbacks, a 70 and a 71. The 70 has a good body and a sound floorpan and a cactus
motor.
The 71 has more rust than I want to fix, a better floorpan and a pretty fair motor.
I want to take the body off the 70 and put it on the floorpan of the 71. Is this feasable? Are there any tricks? I've undone most of the bolts?
What's the best way to lift the body? Does anyone know anyone around Brisbane with experience in this work?
I look forward to your input and hope I can offer some in time. I'm going to be selling off my surplus T3 stuff too.
