Hi all,

Im new to this forum, new to anything mechanical, but a lover of Beetles.
Ive been restoring a 65 beetle in my spare time and have been avoiding anything to do with the engine until now. Ive taken it as far as I can, I think I have connected everything, and apparently the engine is'nt far from starting up.

Im looking for some experienced help to get her fired up, or at least to find out what I need to do next, and Im willing to pay someone for their time. its either that or I get her towed to a mechanic, looked at, and towed back, but I'd rather put the $$$ into the pocket of a good sararitan.

Its a 69 1500 12V engine.

If anyone is able to help, I'd greatly appreciate it.
