Hi All

Just joined up as I am planning on going down the VW path. Years ago I raced offroad with VW running gear and have always wanted to build a road car. Family life got in the way more often than not so I just bumbled along waiting for the right time.

Recently my wife suggested (!) I build a VW as a project car with the intent of driving it herself. However, her plans changed after I told her that air con was not an option on Bugs. So now she is going to have my rebuilt ED Falcon wagon and I am going to build the VW for me.

Still very much in the planning stage and getting to know what is available out there. Will soon be looking for a car to start on, probably '68 or later.

I'll lurk for a while seeing what others have done and are doing but may pop the occasional question in as I get started.
